and my exercise routine has already gone out the window. Ugh. I was visiting family for 6 days and packed my @physique57 DVD’s with the intention of using them while I was gone. Sadly as I unpack from suitcase the DVD’s are exactly where I left them and were not used once! Happily on the couch reading my December issue of Instyle I learned I wasn’t alone. According to the InStyle Reader Poll:
"What happens to your exercise routine during the holidays?"
37% Out the window, thanks to parties and travel
21% It requires effort, but it stays almost the same
Right, so after 6 days away I fall into the 37% category. Not good!

What do you think? I love the idea of leaving technology behind even for a few days but then I have so much to do when I get back and the anxiety of that can ruin the last hours/day of vacation… Is it better just to bring it and be up to date or at least know what’s going on or to have a few days without distractions? http://bit.ly/b9X4XF
I know airlines have to follow guidelines and rules but what happened to customer service? And what on earth is that response. Apologize, be kind, and try to help the people out!! I feel like way too many people I know have stories like this from all the airlines. Share your stories here and if you have a positive customer service stories from your air travel we would be interested to hear those tool.
Here is mine:
A few years ago I was traveling for work and I was exhausted, sitting in a chair AT THE GATE reading my new Judi Picoult book. I was in Dallas and hadn’t switched my watch from west coast time so when the plane boarded and subsequently departed I thought it was the flight before me. Once I realized what an idiot I was I went to the counter where the agent told me he THOUGHT about coming over to ask if I was on that flight but figured no one was that dumb!!! I mean can you imagine? It was the last flight to LA and I ended up having to stay at the airport hotel, it was a mess! Not only could this guy have helped me make my flight and didn’t but he called me dumb, to my face.
I travel from the eat to the west coast all the time and as I am getting older I am finding it harder and harder to recover from jet lag. I recently heard that I could use melatonin to help. I don’t want to become dependent on prescriptions sleep aids but I NEED SLEEP!!! Here is in interesting article. Let me know what you think or better yet if you have tried melatonin. XKD
If you are like me your skin and hair are getting so dry with the cold season upon us so here are a few tips to help winterize your hair & skin.
Switch to a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I usually only use volumizing shampoo and conditioner but it just does not give me the added moisturizing I need in the winter. I use Philip B White Truffle Shampoo and Conditioner for everyday and save the volumizing for special occasionsJ
I always have to switch from light moisturizer to a heavier moisturizer in the winter. This year I am using the complete 5 step program from Somme Institute. I love their mobile kit! It helps me keep up my routine wherever I am.
Any time of the year you will find Air Repair Rescue Balm in my purse but now that it is winter you might find a few tubesJ I use it on my cuticles, lips, hands, feet, elbows the list could go on and on. This stuff works MIRACLES. Days like the NYC marathon when I knew I was going to be outside all day I even mix a little in my moisturizer to protect my skin from the wind and the cold.
Sail through the TSA this Holiday Season with Anthony’s Grab + Go Kit
Holiday travel time is just around the corner, it’s time to get prepared. Everyone knows just how hectic airports can be around the holidays. And everyone also knows just how annoying the hour-long security lines can be. The worst is when someone holds up the line because their liquid products don’t satisfy requirements. Embarrassing! And annoying too! There is nothing worse than having to dig through your carry on and throw away your favorite products. Unfortunately, there is no getting around the security lines—but you can expedite the process by being prepared. Anthony Logistics for Men has just what you need to practice safe travel during the most wonderful (and busy) time of the year.
Grab and Go Portables by Anthony Logistics is the solution to your problem. This compact kit includes Glycolic Facial Cleanser, Facial Scrub, Shave Cream, Lip Balm, Shampoo, and Cleansing Gel. “Whoa, do I really need all of that?” you ask. Check it out:
The Facial Cleanser is the ultimate face wash, buffing away surface skin cells with key ingredient, Glycolic Acid. Chamomile is added to naturally calm skin, and Grapefruit Oil, essential to your skin’s revival. It’s the perfect way to refresh your face on the go.
Lips are prone to cracking, especially in the cold of winter. Keep your lips smooth and protected from harsh winds with a natural Beeswax lip balm containing essential ingredients such as Calendula and Aloe that soothe and hydrate.
So your flight is arriving and you have no time to stop at the hotel to freshen up and shave before the big family dinner. Good thing your Grab+Go kit has a shave cream! Anthony’s Shave Cream has Eucalyptus Oil to soothe and plenty of vitamins to ensure the closest shave. Perfect for shaving in a compact area like the airplane bathroom!
Those great products, along with the others featured in the Grab and Go Kit, will keep you from embarrassing travels this year.
Where ever you go, with Anthony’s kit, you know you’ll be prepared for hectic holiday travel. Each item in the kit is under 3.0 fl oz.
