I’m going to New Mexico for the rest of the week to visit family and celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday. I was scheduled to leave LA at 6pm. My flight was delayed for 2 hrs. 45 minutes because the door to the 1st class bathroom wouldn’t stay closed so they had to find a new plane. (I am absolutely serious- delayed nearly 3 hours because the first class passengers needed their own private bathroom during the hour and a half flight!!) Because of this delay I missed my connection in Salt Lake City. I’ve been rebooked on a flight from Salt Lake to Albuquerque tomorrow morning. Delta is not setting anyone up in a hotel, so everyone that missed their connection – nearly half the plane – are all camping out in the Salt Lake airport until tomorrow.
I’m wearing a short dress, so I can’t really curl up in a chair and try to sleep without flashing the family of 5 sitting across from me. I’m wearing heels, which was just a silly choice!
Delta has not given us any vouchers for food – not that it would matter because it is 1:30am in Salt Lake and everything is closed.
I’m tired and pretty grumpy.
So I take my bags and go to the bathroom. I pull out one of my Herban Essentials Peppermint Towelettes and wipe my neck, chest and arms. I rinse my face and dab on some Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel. I apply some Archipelago Botanicals Oat Milk Lotion. I walk out of the bathroom feeling like a new woman. I feel refreshed and even a bit calmer.
And I realize that you don’t just provide convenience to travelers, you provide us with an emergency care kit, with tools that will get me through this long night. I just cannot thank you enough!
And you better believe that I’m using my Jonathan Green Rootine Dry Shampoo in the morning so that even if I don’t feel it, I will arrive at my destination feeling totally fierce!
