Can we please talk about what is going on in Reality Television these days!!!
6 months ago I thought of myself as a reality snob who only watched the “quality” reality shows ie Biggest Looser and Dancing with Stars:-) but all that snobbery has been tossed to the wind. I am SUCKED IN!!! I love it I watch the Bachelor/ette/pad anything basically to do with a group of people getting drunk, hooking up, with the possibility of marriage. I watched the last few episodes of The Hills, The City, The New York Housewives, Bethanny getting married, DC Housewives, anything with the Kardashians I will even admit to having watched an episode or two of Thintervention, the Spin Crowd AND Jerseylicious!!! I don’t know what it is about watching the train wrecks unfold in other peoples lives that is so compelling to me but I am pretty sure I shouldn’t be proud of it:-) I have held out when it comes to the Jersey Shore but I am sure I will give into my curiosity one of these days….
Now DISCLAIMER-if you are happy living in world where you think reality television is actually reality STOP READING HERE!!! The other day I was minding my own business walking in the West Village when I ran into a friend of mine… I know that he is a “friend” of Olivia Palermo so I was asking why she wasn’t fired for the way she behaved at Elle….. Do you know what I found out…. SHE DOESNT REALLY WORK THERE!!!!!!! Now this may not be news to you out there reading this but I was shocked, disappointed and a little disenchanted. I will let you know if it keeps me from starting this seasons round of reality premiersJ

MY ROAD TO THE BIG 3-0-NO MORE OBSESSING OVER MY WEIGHT!
Almost every girl I know has at one point or another worried and or obsessed about her weight. I have been obsessing about my weight for as long as I can remember. 2. If you are like me the thought of not dieting and not regulating every single morsel of food I put in my body causes extreme stress and fear it is OK! Please Please Please run do not walk and buy Bethenny Frankel’s Naturally Thin Book. It is the first time I read a health book and it actually resonated and it is because it is NOT A DIET BOOK it is a book to help you start a new way of thinking and living. Stop being a slave to your food and start loving and giving your body what it needs. You will thank me for thisJ
3. I know everyone tells you this but it is true find workouts that you love and make sense for your lifestyle. Kelly Ripa has been all over the magazines and television with her Physique 57 workout and there is a reason. It is AMAZING! I have never stuck to anything so consistently and consistently seen and felt results. The studios are unpretentious, the teachers are motivating and wonderful, and the workout manages to get harder and harder every time you do it! It doesn’t hurt for motivation sake that there are well known celebs and fashionistas in there sweating and working it out with youJ
4. I had such good luck with Kelly Ripa’s Physique57 workout that I have also added Soul-Cycle to my routine for an AMAZING cardio/mind blast. Nothing can improve my attitude and mood like a Soul-Cycle class. It is different from any other spin class because it is all done in candle light with great music and motivating teachers that guide you thru the ride pushing you to new fitness highs every time.
5. Drink as much green tea and water as you possibly can. Green tea naturally revs up your metabolism and it definitely helps to curb my appetite, not to mention the health benefits are crazyJ Water helps to keep you hydrated, full, and flush out anything unwanted toxins and build up.
