The world of self tanning always overwhelmed me, so I ignored them until we launched 3Floz.com. First came Dr. Dennis Gross and the Glow Pads and I was hooked. After a few mishaps I figured out how to use them. So, you can imagine my excitement when St. Tropez called to ask if we were interested in carrying the line. 14 travel size St. Tropez self tanning products, yes please! Using St. Tropez I’ve learned there shouldn’t be anything laborious about applying self tanner. These are a few of my must have’s. - Alexi
An areosol spray you can carry-on. I’ve been told it gives you the small appearance as a spray tan. I like it because with little effort it sprays on evenly leaving my legs tanned.
A lotion and a bronzer all in-one, you know I love multi-use products! It gradual tans while hydrating your skin. The lotion is fast drying and the tan matches my skin color.
I attended 5 weddings this summer with two more to go. Why not add a glow to my face - these photos are going to be around for years! I applied it before putting my make-up on and washed it off at the end of the evening.
There are a number of reasons why I love the Jack Black Skin Care line for men. The line has healthy ingredients, the products WORK, and men go back to this brand over and over again. When I get asked by men what they should use on their skin and after I evaluate what their needs are to find out…
Do I use a foaming cleanser or a creamy cleanser? Foaming cleansers are geared towards removing oil and tend to have a drying effect on one’s skin while creamy cleansers will remove oil and make-up but do a better job at helping skin maintain its hydration. Creamy cleansers can also take some time to get used to because they can leave skin feeling like there is still product on it. I have to say my skin feels much better and I can sometimes skip the am moisturizer when I use a creamy cleanser - but OBVIOUSLY I NEVER leave home without sunscreen on!
If you have oily skin and breakouts use foaming cleansers.
If you have mature, dry, or sensitive skin use creamy cleansers.
I’ve never had allergies before and I am dying!! I don’t know how people go months like this. I am honestly praying that it is a cold which means there would be an end in sight!! Anyways, these 5 things are helping me survive these allergies!
Warm water+salt: It may seem gross but nothing helps a scratchy throat like gargling with warm water and salt.
Turning off the A/C: I wouldn’t believe my friends when they said sleeping without my A/C would help but it has really made a difference with how I feel in the am. I think the air coming out of the A/C probably has a fair amount of dust and is definitely dryer than the humid NYC air coming from the window.
Denial: Trying to forget about these allergies keeping busy and sticking my regular routine helps, when I can do it.
So there you have it! The 5 things that are kind of keeping me sane during this horrific allergy season. You got any tips for me???
Ok, so I was skeptical when Alexi brought me the microderma scrub. I have been an avid user of Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant and have tried lot of other daily scrubs trying to replicate the results and have come up empty! That is until I tried the OLO microderma scrub. Ingredients include silk peptides, milk powder, and fresh pineapple enzymes. I know that silk peptides and milk powder are great skin polishers and help to exfoliate but I had to do some research into the use of pineapple enzymes. What I found is that when applied topically, pineapple enzymes are thought to reduce puffiness and swelling which is great for a product claiming that if you use this scrub your skin will feel brand new every day, especially with the Duff puff I have in the am!
So, I started using it. At first I found it to be a little rough to use daily by simply adding water but when I added my Air Repair Skin Cleansing Milk to the mixture it was perfect!! I have completely switched over to the OLO microderma scrub and my skin feels fantastic!! It’s really soft and the difference I am noticing between my skin with other scrubs vs. the OLO is that my skin has a really healthy, youthful glow and my skin feels really supple.
I’m not a big masque user so I haven’t tried it at a masque…
Yes, we sell the OLO microderma scrub & masque but I don’t dedicate blog time to products if I don’t truly believe they are awesome and this is an AWESOME product! Just to show how much I want everyone to try it I am offering a ‘TRYOLOMS’ code to be used at check out for a 15% discount off this product.
On any given day you’ll find the entire Air Repair line packed in our carry on’s, on our desks, in our gym bags or in our bathrooms. We know, intense. If you aren’t ready to take the plunge and purchase the entire line and are curious about what to start with we asked Denise Spanek, founder of Air Repair, to tell us a little about the products she’d recommend. - Alexi
This moisturizer is the best “marriage” between nature and science as it blends ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid and Heat Shock Proteins with a natural extract blend that includes arnica, chamomile and cloudberry seed oil just to name a few. The result is a more radiant, hydrated skin with diminished fine lines…instantly!
What more can I say except that this product has been called, The Swiss Army Knife Of Beauty Products” because of it’s versatility. Think anywhere skin is dry….lips, cuticles, hands, feet, elbow. It works instantly to help prevent trans-epidermal water loss, a primary cause of dry skin. Great as a sport salve also. Oh and it’s 100% natural too!
